FAQS

Fine Line Tattoo FAQs

Do fine line tattoos hurt less?

Because fine line tattoos use smaller needle groupings (often just a single needle), many clients find them significantly less painful than traditional tattoos. It feels more like a light "scratch" than a heavy "scrape." However, pain always depends on your personal tolerance and the placement on your body.

Do they really disappear or fade faster?

Fine line tattoos do not "disappear" if applied correctly. However, because there is less ink in the skin compared to a bold traditional piece, they can be more susceptible to the elements. They will "soften" over time. To keep them crisp, follow our aftercare strictly and always wear sunscreen once healed.

Can I get a fine line tattoo anywhere on my body?

While you can, some areas hold fine lines better than others. Flat surfaces like the forearm, outer arm, ribs, and thighs are ideal. High-friction areas like fingers, may require more frequent touch-ups.

We refused to tattoo faces, necks, palms of hands and soles of feet.

How long does a fine line tattoo take to heal?

The surface usually heals within 2-3 weeks, but the deeper layers of skin take up to 3 months to fully settle. Because the lines are so thin, the initial "scabbing" phase is usually very minimal - often just light peeling.

Can I get a detailed portrait?

Unfortunately, this isn't our thing. We would rather focus on delivering designs we love, but sadly, this is not one of them. We do however, love created abstract faces, such as side profiles.

Why do I need to pay a deposit for a custom design?

The deposit secures your time on our calendar and covers the artist's time spent researching and drawing your unique piece. Custom designs take a high level of precision and usually require up to two weeks of design work.

What if I need a touch-up?

Due to the delicate nature of the ink, some "fallout" can occur during healing. We offer one complimentary touch-up within the first 6 months (excluding high-friction areas like fingers) to ensure your piece looks perfect.
